Stoneteller lay in her nest and sighed flicking her ears back and forth. 'It has been awhile since I've gotten any signs from the Tribe of Endless Hunting,' she thought. She hadn't been Stoneteller for long, but she always tried her best. 'Thinking about their ancestors wouldn't make them send signs,' she thought and began to groom her fur noticing how the light from the main cave was casting shadows against the cave walls. Judging from the lighr coming from the main cave she guessed it to be about sunhigh. She sat up in her nest and finished grooming her fur, her eyes scanning the cave.

Wall was just returning from hunting as he carried an eagle into the cave. He took a few bites out of his prey to eat before he would share it with someone else. In the Tribe of Rushing Water, it was customary for cats to take a bite out of their prey before they would pass it on to someone else to eat. Thebrown tom decided to bring the eagle over to the Stoneteller to see if she was hungry. He went over to the Cave of Pointed Stones to see Stoneteller grooming herself. "Hey Stoneteller, I brought you an eagle to eat," Wall said. He padded over to her and dropped the eagle close to her. "So still no sign from the Tribe of Endless Hunting?" he asked.

"Hey Stoneteller I brought you an eagle to eat. So still no sign from the Tribe of Endless Hunting,"
Hearing her name and the question directed to her made her turn her head towards the voice and she recognized the prey-hunter Wall of cave or better known as wall. "Yes, thank you I haven't had time to eat, and no I still have had no word from the Tribe of Endless Hunting," Stonteller replied bending down to take a bite of the rabbit before pushing it back towards wall. "It seems like you have had a good hunt," she commented flicking her ears.

When Stoneteller said that she hasn't had a word from the Tribe of Endless Hunting, Wall of Cave replied, "I guess that means there's nothing important about to happen. Oh well, at least we should be grateful we haven't heard any bad news and that everything's going well in our tribe." Then when Stoneteller said that it looks like Wall had a good hunt, the tom smiled and replied, "Thanks, it took a little while to find prey. But at least I got that eagle good in the end."

Stoneteller nodded, "Yes, if they want to speak with me they will," she meowed flicking her ears and gazed around drawing her paws under her. "You want another bite," she asked him inclining her head towards the eagle wandering where their other clan mates were. 'They must all be out of camp,' she thought flicking her blue orbs towards the entrance of the cave. She loved hearing her clan mates talk about the stuff they had done for the day.

"Right," Wall of Cave replied. Then when Stoneteller asked if Wall wanted another bite, he replied, "Oh sure! Why thank you, Stoneteller." Then he took a bite out of the eagle.

Stoneteller watched him slightly amused wondering where the others are and flicked her ears frowning. "We should be grateful, that we have had no trouble recently, we haven't lost any cats since, the last Stoneteller lost his last life," she meowed standing up and stretching before she sat back down curling her tail over her paws and smiling. "I am hoping that we will get more members soon, though we ae poor on members we have lost none to the eagles that fly around," she meowed frowning as she realized that eagles weren't only their prey, but also their enemies. "I do hope that you didn't do anything risky in catching this eagle, we don't won't to lose you, and don't forget to go with a cave-guard the next time you hunt," she meowed flicking her ears and keeping her blue orbs on Wall.
"Did you meet any trouble while hunting?" she asked her pricking her ears to hear his answer. They sometimes had trouble from wolves and she hoped that he hadn't met any trouble, 'The last Stoneteller would be disappointed in me, I have let the tribe fall hard, I just hope we get more members, what if the tribe of endless hunting are angry with how I have let the tribe fall and are disappointed in me?" she asked herself . Frowning she shook her self clearing her head of the doubts beginning to cloud her mind.
"We need more members, hopely the tribe of endless hunting will bless us with the return of our members," she meowed blinking. A while back a few of their members had disappeared, and Stoneteller had reason to believe that they were still alive.

"Don't worry, I'm not reckless like Rain from Sky. I always prepared when I'm out hunting," said Wall. Rain was an overly cocky tom who thinks he can do anything. One time, he strayed too far from the cave-guards' protection when going after the mouse he was hunting. He nearly got swooped up by an eagle, but luckily he was able to escape death's icy grip and kill the eagle instead. Wall swear his fellow prey-hunter was going to get himself killed one of these days. Then when Stoneteller asked Wall if he had any trouble hunting, Wall answered, "Well nothing too bad. I almost caught a mouse during the hunt, but it was pretty too close to the small cleft in the wall and it managed to get away. So we had to extend our hunt until I managed to get this eagle. We were pretty hungry by the time we killed it." It was fortunate that Wall's patrol didn't run into any wolves, whose population seemed to be increasing every day, thus making avoiding them and hunting more difficult. When Stoneteller said that they needed more members, Wall of Cave added, "And some more kits as well." Kits would definitely add more numbers to the Tribe of Rushing Water.

"Yes, we could use some kits," Stoneteller murmured remembering her own days as a kit. When she had become a to-bi she ha never expected Stoneteller to take her on as his own to-bi. 'and now I'm Stoneteller,' she thought blinking. "Hopefully new kits will come," Stoneteller meowed flicking her ears.

Feather on Rock, the cave guard, walked through the spray of the waterfall and into the cave. The wolves outside made her nervous when she was outside. The numbers of them had increased greatly in the past moon. Feather could tell by the sound of their howling at night. "It's like they're all deciding to live here." She mumbled to herself. As she approached Stoneteller she stood taller to make herself look presentable. "Stoneteller, I think we should start killing wolves. Their numbers need to be decreased or they could start killing cats." She meowed. She didn't like killing to win, but the wolves were a problem that needed to be handled.

"Yeah," Wall of Cave replied when Stoneteller hoped for new kits to come soon. Then Feather on Rock came over and suggested that they should kill the wolves so that their numbers would decrease. Wall didn't seem to like this idea as the wolves were too strong and big for the cats to handle with tooth and claw alone. "Kill the wolves?! How the heck are we suppose to do that? Just run up to a pack and shred every single wolf in sight? No! They'll just tear us to pieces if we go up front like that," said Wall. Who'd be mousebrain enough to suggest that? A pack to very difficult to impossible to handle. Even if they were fighting a single wolf, a cat's claws and teeth wouldn't be strong enough to kill it. But there were other ways to take a life without having to use bodily weapons. There were nightshades and there were lots of places to fall from too. Wall had an idea! "Wait, maybe we can kill the wolves. But not with claws though. Maybe we could try to lure to the edge of cliff and trick them into falling to their doom?" Wall suggested.

♫let your voice be heard~♪ ______________________________
Harmonywind had returned from a hunting patrol, carefully carrying in a cardinal and a raven, a rare pair to catch. She carefully placed it on their makeshift kill pile. She would take a bite, but she figured it could go to the other tribemates instead. She wasn't very hungry anyway; it didn't take much to fill up her small frame. The she-cat flicked her ears, her gaze wandering around the cave. A few cats lingered here and there, most heading out in pairs for hunting or afternoon strolls. Everyone seemed to be a little upbeat this season. Prey seemed plentiful to the tribe, which was something to rarely expect. She could smell eagle at the back of Stoneteller's den, as well as the scent of Wall and Feather. She could use a little socialization as well. Maybe she could jump in their conversation?
"Stoneteller, I think we should start killing wolves."
Harmonywind raised her ears at this. How on earth could cats kill wolves? They were the largest of canines, and vicious too. They were getting a little out of control...but could they really handle it?
"Wait, maybe we can kill the wolves. But not with claws though. Maybe we could try to lure to the edge of cliff and trick them into falling to their doom?"
"That sounds like a good, but risky idea," she commented, joining in with her smooth feminine voice. She turned to Wall, studing him for a moment and giving a small sniff. So, he'd caught the eagle this morning? She wasn't suprised. "If that doesn't work, we could put a little nightshade in some freshkill and leave it outside their den while they're out. Wolves usually scavenge what we leave behind to gather later anyways," she shook her head, almost growling. She had left behind a small pile of hares before a wolf took over just a few moons ago. She turned to Feather and Stoneteller, giving them all a breif nod of welcome. Maybe this plan was possible. She could probably deliever the food. Harmonywind was not only thin, but quick on her paws, even through the thick snow. If they did decide to chase her, she could probably lure them away for a while.

Stoneteller pricked her ears at the suggestion of killing wolves. "Leading them off a cliff would be to risky, you could fall with the wolves, the nightshade idea isn't a bad idea, but they'll notice after a few of their wolf friends had died, we could try pushing so heavy rocks on them," Stoneteller meowed thoughtfully.
"We can draw out a wolf andvlure it here while the rest of us push a border onto the wolf, but none of this would happen near the waterfall we don't want to block the entrance," she meowed flicking her ears.

((Sorry for the late reply, I was getting addicted to my new video game.))
After listening to the ideas of putting nightshade into the wolves's prey to poison them and pushing bolders onto the wolves, Wall of Cave said, "Yes, that could work. It'll be even more effective if the wolf's near a cliff where it can't escape out of the bolder's range. It'll either fall or get crushed."

Feather listened to Wall oppose her at first , then he suggested luring the wolves over a cliff. She was about to say the idea was risky when Harmony came in saying they could put nightshade in fresh-kill to kill the wolves. "That's a better idea since we won't risk falling off a cliff." She said. When Stoneteller said they could push rocks on the wolves she nodded in agreement. She added her own idea to Wall's when he had finished talking. "We could also trap them in caves if we can't get them to go over a ledge."
