As the night rolled on, the birds singing their daytimes songs fading to crickets humming and the calm sound of the river current. It all seemed to be at complete stillness as stars faded into view, the moon rising high above the trees. It was in a semicircle, yet RiverClan was told to keep put this moon. StarClan was still working its miracles to the clans and didn't have any time to talk yet.
The only thing to desturb this silence was their leader, Bliss'star. Her silver tabby pelt was fluffed up, reflecting the moonlight with her small outline. Her voilet-blue eyes blinked, moving toward the Two-leg bridge to escape it all for a little while. She moved silently as she moved through some tall grass, checking the scents around her to make sure she wasn't being watched by any creatures. A few two-legs had gone by here not to long ago, but she didn't see any more. They were'nt to great with hiding anyway with their heavy pawsteps and bright pelts.
She padded into the clearing, heading toward the calm river. The water rose a bit more in the evening, bringing fish to float a little higher in a more convenent area. She knew she couldn't eat out here alone, but she could at least watch the fish circling in their state of paradise. She lays down, grooming her forepaws calmly in the complete silence, relaxing her mind and letting it wander. It was always so peaceful at this time of night. No panic, no patrols, no questions--just pure, well, bliss. But it could get a little lonely out in the dark all night, so she usually didn't stay too long.
A few horses neighed toward the barn, their shrieks echoing toward her. She wondered what they did at night as they were held from their freedom. What did the two-legs do to them? Endless questions puzzled the she-cat, but she just turned her head and ignored it for now before laying calmly at the riverbead, closing those two colorful eyes.

Sandystep's paws touched the ground lightly, on a solitary walk after being in RiverClan camp all day. Sandy fur brushed the ground, and as SandyStep noticed a moth, she followed it obliviously. It sped faster away and she couldn't keep up with it.
Before Sandystep had the urge to stop, she had gone and tripped over the resting body of Bliss'star. The cat panicked. Is it dead? Her amber eyes were not yet adjusted to the escaping light of the evening, and she didn't know who it was yet. Fluffy.
The slow breathing coming from the fluffy, resting cat reassured her. SandyStep had not encountered a dead clanmate. Was it Bliss'star? She didn't know just yet. The chilled air and breeze made it harder for her to decipher the identity of the cat. Once her eyes adjusted and cleared from the air, it was Bliss'star.
"Oh, hello!"

Her quiet relaxation was broken after she felt a creature kick and fall over her. Maybe it tripped? She couldn't be sure. Bliss'star jumps to her paws, staring at the creature with fear pulsing through. What could it be? It was a bit bigger than her. A small fox? A lost rogue? She tasted the air, suddenly realizing it was one of her clanmates, Sandystep.
"Oh, hello!"
The she-cat calmed herself, relief spreading throughout her body. "What an entrance," she purred with amusement, her tail curling in the air with surprise. Her fear instantly washed off, replaced with her usual positive personality. "What are you doing out here?" she blinked, taking a seat. Her pelt was now a little dirty, but she'd deal with it later.

(Oh my gosh Brave is an awesome movie. x3)
--
SandyStep rose to her paws, relieved to know that it really was Bliss'star and that she was okay. The cat get extremely panicked too quickly.. all the time.
Her breathing evened and she opened her mouth to reply to Bliss'star's question, "Taking a walk." SandyStep knew it was late to take a walk, but being an camp all day was tiring as much as it may seem the contrary. She blinked her sandy amber eyes and looked up at the dark sky.

Aquapaw was completely bored. He had nothing to do with himself. Bliss'star had recently walked out of camp, so he decided to follow her, and see what she was up to. His pelt was silvery-blue, and making him look like the Silverpelt. While he followed the scent of his leader, he looked up at the stars and sighed. Father, if your up there, please help me. I'm lost without you, and I miss you. A tear rolled down his cheek, but he didn't care if Bliss'star saw, he was a newly appointed apprentice.
He kept on walking, soon knowing where he was. The two-leg bridge! What would Bliss'star be doing here? Aquapaw didn't find this place very interesting. Occasionally it smelt like dogs, but mainly just two-legs. The disgusting creatures. Suddenly, he pricked his ears, hearing Bliss'star speak to another she-cat. Who's the other cat? He padded up quietly, his scent drifting towards them, and sat down near his leader. "Hello, Miss Bliss'star. I'm sorry for following you, but I had nothing better to do."

Lionfrost tried to sleep, but she was very restless tonight and left the warriors den her eyes scanning the camp, to her surprise she could her muffled voices coming from outside the camp. Frowing she silently walked out of camp catching the scents of the cats outside of the camp. Deciding to follow the scents before her mind was made up she began to follow their scent. Soon she heard the rushing of the river and pricked her ears as she heard the sound of the river. Her eyes had adjusted to the darkness by now and she made out the figures of three of her clan mates. Making her way a little closer she could make out which three cats it was Bliss'star, Sandystep, and Aquapaw. The young warrior hesitated and thought about turning and leaving, but she knew it was probably already to late, by now they had already probably caught her scent. Forcing a smile she made her way over to the three cats, but she couldn't keep up the facade and the smile dropped off her face. "Hello, Bliss'star," she meowed politely dipping her head. In the darkness the golden tabbies fur look like it was pale brown instead of the golden color it really was.

Sandystep watched the other two cats. Almost like a gathering, those cats collected.

"You know what, fine! Who cares what you think anyway?" Fawnflight snarled as she stomped out of the medicine cat's den. Her intentions had been pure enough when she went in there; she had only wanted to check if Nightfrost wanted to go fishing with her. But, like always, the siblings had found something to disagree about and were reduced to petty squabbling within minutes. From behind her, the she-cat could hear her brother hissing something in reply, but she just tuned him out and stormed out of the camp.
Darkness had settled over the land and, as Fawnflight listened, the crickets began to chirp their nighttime songs. I love this time of day, she thought as she padded across the moonlit ground, Everything just seems so tranquil and mysterious; it makes me feel like anything is possible. Her gaze drifted up to the stars. It's so peaceful, I can almost forget about that pile of foxdung back in camp.
She carried on like this for a while longer, until several voices cut through her reverie. Is someone there? She wandered over cautiously to where she had heard the talking. Oh, it's just other RiverClan cats. She glanced around at the group. Quite a few of them. I wonder why everyone is here? She shrugged. Well, the more the merrier, right? She stepped forward to greet her clanmates. "Hello everyone."

Aquapaw's fur stood on end, as he felt very tiny compared to all these warriors. Two more had padded up, and he crouched to the ground, not really meeting them before. I wish my clan didn't seem like strangers. He looked around. The golden she-cat didn't even look familiar. He doubted he ever saw her before, let alone knowing her name.
It didn't help that he was the only tom either. "H-heh-hello." He wearily looked up at the new arrivals and the other she-cat, Sandystep.

"Taking a walk."
Bliss'star nodded to Sandystep. "We all need a time to stretch our paws and relax, don't we?" she yawned, tasting scents as she did so. More cats were on their way. Were they coming to the same spot by fate, or just on accident? She could smell a few scents drawing near before Aquapaw scurried out.
"Hello, Miss Bliss'star. I'm sorry for following you, but I had nothing better to do."
"Not even sleep?" she purred with amusement, stroking her tail over his sholders in amusement. "It's quite late. I'm surprised you're not asleep yet. Hasn't Fawnflight tired you out yet?" she chuckles. She gave her body a firm stretch, and there was another cat. Speaking of Fawnflight...
"Hello everyone."
"Welcome to our little gathering, Fawnflight," she purred, her tail lashing a little bit. It was like half the clan couldn't sleep. Could this mean something? She was getting strange sensations for the past moon, as well as confusing signs. What could their ansestors be trying to say?
Shaking the thoughts away, she gazed back at her clanmates, their attention on her. She was getting used to being leader with the pressured responsibilities and all, but bowing and staring was a little bit to much. Sometimes she just needed a little privacy. To bad, no privacy when you have to lead, silly Bliss'star. Everyone knows that.
"Well, we're all out here to stretch our paws and poke our noses out of camp, arent we? We should atleast be a little useful. Anyone want to hunt with me?" she asked, sounding like an excited warrior to work along side these great cats. "This would be a great little training session," she blinked, turning to Aquapaw with one of her signature smiles.

Aquapaw smiled up at Bliss'star and started to purr. He scotched closer to the leader. His pelt touched hers and he didn't look up, but only purred as he listed to her words. "No, not even sleep. Fawnflight migh need to work a little have to try teaching me some more battle moves because I think I have my hunter's crouch down pretty good! He mewed up to Biss'star, but mainly she only she could hear. He smiled again when she talked about the hunting session. "I will come with you Bliss'star!"
His pelt fluffed up more as the temperature dropped, little by little and he pressed up more against the gray fluffy she-cat.

Fawnflight dipped her head in greeting to her leader. "Thank you." She flicked her gaze around the clearing, identifying the other cats present. Sandystep, a permanent RiverClan queen, Lionfrost, a fellow RiverClan warrior, and Aquapaw, Fawnflight's own apprentice.
Her whiskers twitched with amusement when she saw the young tom standing next to the leader. "You're up late," she mewed, "I must not be training you hard enough if you have enough energy for nighttime strolls."
As she heard Bliss'star speak, she turned her attention back to her leader. "Hunting?" she echoed. "Sure; might as well do something productive with my time."

Lionfrost silently listened to what the leader said and frowned, 'Am I also invisible to my leader?' she asked herself. 'If she does, I don't care I don't need her worrying about me,' she told herself. She didn't feel like hunting, she wasn't really in the mood. The whole reason reason she was out here was because she needed some time to herself to think. 'I should've walked away when the others came up,' she told herself and gazed up at the moon making her frosty blue eyes almost appear to look silver. She gazed at the moon for a few more minutes before gazing back at her clan mates.
"I don't know, I'm not really hn the mood to hunt," Lionfrost meowed not bother to fake cheerfulness.

Aquapaw looked up at his mentor now, but still staying close to Bliss'star. "No, I think your training me enough! But you still need to teach me how to fish. I only know how to hunt on land so far. How about tomorrow? Please?" Aquapaw begged his mentor with a sweet mew. I hope she teaches me, I hope she teaches me, I hope she teaches me! The words kept echoing in his head, sudently looking forward to the next day.
He put his head back down, and flicked his ears, listening to the other she cat. He thought her name was Lionfrost, but he wasn't sure. He could hear the bitterness in her voice.
"I don't know, I'm not really in the mood to hunt."
I wonder what's making her crabby, Aquapaw thought with a snear. He didn't show he was upset when his blue eyes shifted to the ginger she-cat. He only studdied her, and calmly looked away after a few seconds.

Post by Rookfall on Jun 30, 2012 9:11:36 GMT -5
Rookfall had been lying peacefully in his nest, content to sleep and be lulled by night noises while he did so. Unfortunately, it seemed his Clan-mates had other plans, by the way they were continually tromping out of the place. They had all left more or less separately, so it likely wasn't a patrol, especially not at this time of night. A flicker of curiosity ran through him. He shoved it away, rolling over to find a more comfortable position, but it persisted. The gray-black tom sighed and sat up, rolling his shoulders to relieve them of a faint stiffness and quickly licking a few bits of moss off his coat. If cats kept milling around like there were, he wouldn't be getting sleep anyways, and knowing as much of what was going on in his territory as possible was a warrior's duty. His yellow irises gleamed for a brief moment as they caught a weak beam of moonlight trickling through a gap in the roof of the den. It wouldn't be difficult to find their scents, but if they were still walking he ought to move more quickly to catch up. A nearly imperceptible grumble escaped him as he picked his way delicately around the other sleeping warriors, and slid out into the full gaze of the moon, its silver eye half-closed. It didn't seem right- no, it just wasn't right not having a meeting as there should be. Mayhap StarClan really didn't have a word to say to the Clans' medicine cats, but all the same, it put him on edge. He looked away from the moon, turning his attention to the camp's entrance, where, as suspected, he found the mingled scents of several cats. No point in deciphering them at the moment, he'd be seeing them soon anyhow.
He set off in his prowling, loping pace, ears twitching as he passed the various noises that gave night its life and substance. It was several minutes before he came into hearing range, and he paused to listen, the muscles sliding to a halt under his pelt. Lionfrost's voice, for that was indeed who it was, sounded irritated. "I don't know, I'm not really in the mood to hunt." Hunting, but apparently not organized if someone was granted the opportunity for such a cavalier decision. In a short while he came upon the cats in person. He arched his neck to see who was there in total, not bothering to step forwards and properly show himself just yet. Bliss'star, Fawnflight, Lionfrost of course, Aquapaw, Sandystep- practically half the Clan had decided to go for a moonlight stroll, it appeared. The tom's whiskers twitched and he stepped out of his place, dipping his head stiffly at those assembled. When it rose again, his slanted eyes were amused, and largely curious. "Well, it seems like there's veritable little party going on here, doesn't it? May I ask, did I miss the invitation or was it simply an opportune moment?" Rookfall's tone was carelessly cold as always, but he looked surprisingly relaxed compared to his usual manner. He seated himself at the edge of the small group, tucking his tail over his paws and waiting patiently for someone to inform him as to what was going on.
