[Berrypaw]

Berrypaw looked at the water tumbling over the edge of the gorge. The noise of the falls was calming and irritating at the same time, but Berrypaw thought the noise was more calming. She looked up at the night sky and saw the.moon becoming to sink back down.

The Clan will be coming back from the gathering. She thought. They might already be back in camp all nuzzled up in there dens while she's out here in the middle of the night. She had chosen not to go. She had just become Nightfrost's apprentice, and she thought that she needed to be acceptited by StarClan as his apprentice before attending a gathering.

She began to think about her training that was to come. Memorizing all the herbs, receiving signs from StarClan, she didn't know if she could do it. She was so lost in thought that she didn't realize there was another cat beside her.

__________________________ Aquapaw's bright blue eyes flashed in the darkness. He had followed the medicine cat apprentice out of camp after the gathering, not bothering to enter camp since it would be full of chaous. He didn't feel like dealing with rambling and yowling cats, protesting on whether they supported the ShadowClan or ThunderClan leader. He didn't know who to believe, and probably wouldn't get to sleep in camp, so following Berrypaw seemed like the easiest thing to do. Brishing his blue pelt through the tall reeds of RiverClan territory, he found himself walking towards the gorge. Why would she want to go to the gorge? It's so dark and late at night, it might be hard to see... He shook his head and flicked his fluffy ears, becoming alert. The river could be heard in the distance, smoothly flowing over the bold rock jutting out of the riverbed. He soon came up the young she-cat. He brushed his tail over her back, feeling the tension in her muscles. [Berrypaw]

Berrypaw felt a tail brush along her back, and she turned her head to see Aquapaw.
"Hi Aquapaw." She said. He said she missed a lot at the gathering so she asked, "Really? What did I miss?"

She knew the gathering was exciting, but she never thought she would miss anything too important by not going to one. Something had obviously happened at this one that doesn't happen often.

[Lionfrost]

Lionfrost hadn't followed the two apprentices out, she had snuck away from cats that were heading back to camp and was wondering around aimlessly. Somehow she found herself near the gorge and scowled when she saw the two apprentices. She had just gotten into hearing range when she heard Berrypaw ask about the gathering. "Miststar asked Miststar to be allies, Miststar accused Leopardstar of attacking their camp and killing a few cats. Then Miststar and Leopardstar and Miststar got into a fight," she growled steeping out of the shadows.

Most cats avoided her or made an excuse to get away, because of how grumpy she always seemed to be. It wasn't like she had asked to be this way, but her parents had made her this way, but hurting her and those close to her.

__________________________ Aquapaw shook his pelt out, ready to explain the gathering. Boy, was it an interesting one! Words surging through his head, he started to speak. "Oh, yes you missed-" A growl sounded behind him. A chill was sent through his spine. Lionfrost. He didn't care for her, since she wasn't exactly a nice cat to talk to, or do almost anything with. Whipping around, he glared at her, hackles raised, and a snarl gathering in his troat. "Are you about done yet? I was going to tell her myself, but I guess NOT!" The little blue tom bore his eyes into the frosty ones of the she-cat. His emotions flared, a ringing in his ears, not caring at the moment what the warrior would do to him. [Lionfrost]

"So, what?" Lionfrost snapped her eyes flashing as she glared at the tom. "You shouldn't speak like that to a warrior," she hissed her scar over her eye making her look more fierce. Scowling she dug her claws into the ground to keep herself from leaping at the cocky tom and slash him across his muzzle. She wasn't the pretties cat, well she was pretty besides the scar over her eye and one that started at her chin and ran along her neck to her shoulder. Today she didn't seem as angry as usual, but more upset like they had interrupted her alone time at a bad time.

Berrypaw listened to Aquapaw begin to explain, but Lionfrost was the one who ended up saying what happened at the gathering. An alliance? With ShadowClan.? She thought. The fur on her neck rose at the thought of trusting that ruthless Clan. Leopardstar wouldn't kill another cat. She knows the warrior code like any other warrior so I don't understand why she was accused of killing someone.

Her thought where interrupted when Aquapaw snarled a nasty remark at Lionfrost. Lionfrost hissed rudely at Aquapaw in return. She could see the she-cat digging her claws into the ground, resisting the urge to lunge at Aquapaw.

"Guys, there is no reason to fight. Clan mates shouldn't fight with each other." She meowed. She was trying to act as calm as possible, but she knew
that her legs were shaking a little with the fear that her own clan mates might fight. "You are acting like kits." She said.

[Lionfrost]

Lionfrost stiffened when Berrypaw mentioned how she was acting like a kit and a memory began to take over her mind. As a kit her life had been terrible she had been given a scat by her mother the very cat who killed her own kits, and when she was an apprentice it had been her father who had given her the long scar on her neck aiming to kill her. As the memory ended her eyes became expressionless, "He was the one who got angry," she pointed out stiffly. True she was moody, but she didn't snap at cats for no reason to be honest she only acted grumpy, but mostly she acted like she didn't care about anything, so she was always hiding her emotions.

__________________________ Speak like that to a warrior? The apprentice didn't even look at Lionfrost as warrior sometimes for her rudeness. Sometimes it seemed like she didn't have a reason to snap at others, only hurting their feelings. It hurt his, but she probably didn't care. Aquapaw hid his emotions well, trying not to show her anything of what he was thinking or feeling. He didn't even know if he was good at it or not, but that wasn't at the top of his priority list. Keeping his mouth shut while Berrypaw and Lionfrost spoke, he couldn't help but agree with the calm medicine cat apprentice. Yes, he was acting like a kit, but he had only been apprenticed a little less than a moon ago. Whatever. But a warrior is acting like a kit too! He scowled, his tail still lashing, but his ears were releaved of their pressure being pressed up agaist his head. Berrypaw had to laugh a little when Lionfrost started to complain about how he had gotten mad first. It was a little laugh, but Berrypaw still tried to hide it. She didn't know if Lionfrost saw it or not. She quickly pushed the moment away and decided not to point out what she had just said.

"True," Berrypaw started, "Aquapaw did get mad first, but you both were about to attack each other." She took a deep breath before she continued.

She turned so she was facing Aquapaw. His tail was still lashing, but his ears weren't flat on his head anymore. Good. She thought. At least some one here has calmed down a little.

"Aquapaw, you didn't need to be so rude to Liofrost. She did tell me what went on at the gathering when you were about to, but the good thing is that I now know what went on."
